Baltimore, MD | Rosso Commercial is excited to announce the newest Blackwall Hitch location, coming soon to Baltimore City! After an almost a 2-yr search lead by John Rosso of Rosso Commercial, the circa 1911 Candler Building at 700 E Pratt St was chosen as the right fit for the brand’s 4th location. Blackwall Hitch signed a long-term deal to move into 10,300 square feet of space on the ground level of the building, located across the street from the Inner Harbor waterfront. The restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating and is expected to open this fall. The Candler Building is in the midst of a hip, urban SoHo-inspired millennial makeover. The new restaurant will be Blackwall Hitch’s fourth location. Blackwall has existing locations in Alexandria, Virginia, Annapolis and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Derek Fink, Blackwall Hitch’s Baltimore managing partner said 700 E. Pratt’s location was the main attraction for the opening. “We were really impressed with American Real Estate Partners Management’s vision for the property and how its location is a perfect link between the long history of the Inner Harbor on Pratt Street and the new activity in Harbor East and Harbor Point.” Fink said, in a statement. The 589,380-square-foot building sold last year for $60.1 million to American Real Estate Partners Management, LLC. Property upgrades will begin in February and include a new lobby, collaborative meeting areas for workers within the building, exterior building renovations, new attractive storefronts and many other millennial-inspired updates to the property.
